Bio

Marcelo Suro is a Mexican artist and designer based in Guadalajara. His work focuses on form, material, and process, producing sculptures, lighting, and functional objects.

Suro often begins with simple geometric structures that are altered through bending, compression, or extension. These gestures are then translated into materials such as bronze, ceramic, stone, and glass, where industrial fabrication and hand processes coexist.

Working from his studio and foundry, he develops his own works while also collaborating with artists, designers, and galleries internationally. His practice moves between sculpture and design, exploring how structure and gesture can shape objects in space.
